Woodbridge, Suffolk: Antique Collector's Club, 2008. Book. Very Good. Soft cover. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Softcover. Condition: Very good, with light shelfwear to covers. Previous owners bookplate on reverse of front cover. No inscriptions. 136pp. Many b/w and several colour illustrations. This catalogue was produced to accompany the exhibition which commenced at Southampton City Art Gallery from 18th April to 22nd June, 2008 and then toured to the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath and Falmouth Art Gallery later that year. It contains essays by authors including Anne Anderson,Robert Meyrick and Peter Nahum on the idealised English vision of rural life espoused by Samuel Palmer (1805-1881) and his followers, including Paul Nash, Graham Sutherland and the Brotherhood of Ruralists..
