Edited from notes collected by the late Mr. Nathaniel Hill of the Royal Society of Literature. Halfbound brown leather with brown cloth sides. Five raised bands on spine with title and devices stamped in compartments. xvi, 42 pp + lxviii pp appendix. Early example of a photograph plate frontispiece (image of John Bunyan portrait) , and many other illustrations reproducing woodcuts and other illustrations from the two subject literary works, including several in color. Two-page list of Basil Montagu Pickering’s publications bound in before front free endpaper and list of additional subscribers bound in after xvi. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
