Hardcover. 2-volume set, hardcovers, no dustjackets, both of these vintage books are in excellent condition with minor flaws: the former owner's name on the first blank page of Volume 2 and mild rubbing/fading to the top edges of the spine-tips, the bindings are clean and tight and the contents are fine, 610 pages total, both volumes indexed, nicely-illustrated throughout, includes maps .
