New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1970. First edition of the author's first book. Bound in burnt orange cloth with gilt design to front panel and gilt lettering to spine. Previous owner's gift inscription to front paste down. Shows lightly bumped rear top corner and spine ends. Dust jacket shows some minor edgewear and scuffing and a closed tear to bottom of back panel. Overall, an acceptable first edition and basis for the movie of the same name. 254 pgs.. First. Hard Cover. VG+/VG+.
