Printed for E. Hargrove, Bookseller, 1792. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/NDAI (No Dust Jacket As Issued). 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Very hard to find volume, and rather popular within this topic. Only a couple of other copies come up in Worldcat or for sale online. Rebound in contemporary bright red cloth with gilt title to spine. Binding sound, though title page is starting to tear along gutter starting at top edge. Moderate scattered foxing and toning to interior; text clean. Frontis depicting the Medal of the Yorkshire Archers is no longer present. Fold-out fictional pedigree of "Robin Hood" intact, neatly folded with no tears. A plate between pages 87 and 89 shows an etching of the Medal of the Darlington Archers; facing page has offsetting from contact with the illustration. Several pages are numbered incorrectly. Previous owner name of Captain Carpenter in ink near top of title page, and an ink scribble on lower third of title page. No stickers or stamps. Not ex-library. Please inquire for photos.
