London: Hamilton, Adams & Co., 1845. Book. Illus. by frontispiece of a feathered cap bowman, fopding plate of pedigree of Robin Hood, 5 other full page plates. Very Good Plus. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Original green cloth with a bright gilt bowman and target on the front board. Surprisingly, the corners and edges show no wear, having received delicate minor repairs. The spine is new, in matching cloth with a new green leather title block and fresh gilt lettering. It looks like a new book. Inside, very clean and tight with original endpapers. A few, very occasional spots in the text block. Nice bookplate of the former owner Charles A. Dana (1881-19750 WHO IS IN THE aUTOMOTIVE hALL OF fAME AND WAS A PHILANTHROPIST. A very scarce book, no other copies of first edition available in U.S. as of this writing. Protected in a clear, mylar dustjacket..
