About This Item

New York: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc, 1931. First edition. Near fine in very good plus dust jacket.. First printing of this charming story of a little Scotty dog who is unsure of his house's new resident, the second Angus title, quite difficult to find in the dust jacket. ANGUS was based on Flack's own dog of the same name, a fact which shines through in her depiction of his personality and curiosity. Her vibrant color illustrations make this story of the blossoming friendship between Angus and the new family cat a treat for the eyes. A rare Flack title. 6.75'' x 10''. Original color pictorial boards. In price-clipped color pictorial dust jacket. Pictorial endpapers of Angus and the cat. Illustrated in color and black and white. [32] pages. Jacket with mild soil, two 1.25" closed tears and a few tiny chips; spine a bit sunned, small square cut from rear flap. Binding with light shelfwear. Interior clean and bright.
