Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall 8vo [2],140,[2]pp Text in German (brief introductory quotation in Latin). 24-part 'rural love poem' by the noted German dramatist and novelist (1862-1946), winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1912. 'Erste bis zwanzigste Auflage' (title page verso); one of an unspecified number of copies, printed by Poeschel & Trepte, Leipzig, with binding designed by Emil Rudolf Weiss. A good copy in half brown calf over plain boards, gilt-stamped and decorated spine, pictorial upper and lower covers, plain endpapers (chip to head of spine, approximately 1 inch; slight rubbing and browning to spine and covers, slight internal browning, fairly tight internally).
