About This Item

John Russell, 1853. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1853 edition, ex-Kentucky historical library copy. Marbled paper boards with leather-bound spine and corners. Boards are heavily scuffed, peeled, and worn. Leather seams and edges are heavily frayed, and surfaces are cracked and peeling. Binding has started at front hinge. Old library label on front pastedown, and a name and date in pen. Title page has a name and date in red ink. Fold-out map at front has been reinforced with tape along two seams, and this has caused dark staining. Map is also torn along one seam. A good amount of foxing, irregular toning, and dark spot stains throughout. Despite this, text remains legible and clear. 743 pages. LO
