Very Good+ with slight leaning to binding, former owner name on front free endpaper with ghost tape mark at center. In a Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket with a closed tear at top edge of front panel; slight tanning to spine with chipped crown.
A book of poetry that received the Pulitzer Prize in 1950, making Brooks the first African American author ever to win one in any category.
