The mountainous regions of central Asia encompass its range, within the countries of Afganistan, Bhutan, China, India, Mongolia, Nepal, Tibet and the Soviet Union. This bibliography of over 500 references presents a comprehensive catalog of the literature that deals with the snow leopard. Virtually all sources that refer to the species have been included. A short annotation provides information on the content and scope of the reference.
