The author is a historian of photography and her selection of photographs about the American West is full of material from the famous western photographers but also many lesser known ones. Together these B&W photographs show an appreciation and understanding of the subjects and of their traditions. A quality reproduction of more than 200 photographs accompanied by commentary and interpretation by the author. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
