This is the 2nd revised edition published in 1948. In this edition the editors added more myths from around the world, including an entire section on South American folklore, also a section on folklore that inspired good music. Book in good condition,loose front cover board, crisp pages, no tears, highlighting or markings. Wonderfully illustrated end-papers and other full-page illustrations are bright and unfaded. No dust jacket. It is in overall good condition but over time has become misaligned and is not centered over the spine, it is rubbed at the edges and one front end page is disconnected. Family owned name inside front cover. soiling on cover. spine cover frayed at ends.
