The author, Hilary Spurling, was granted access to Powell's papers on the condition that nothing be printed until well into the future. Black & white photos, drawings and other images scattered throughout the text, and with a section of plates bearing color and b&w illustrations. This work originally published in the UK by Hamish Hamilton. --- In textured rose paper-covered boards with spine titling in gilt.
