Artist proof before lettering, lacking "'De la Galerie du Palais Royal', 'Ecole vénitienne', 'IIIe tableau de Jean Antoine Regillo / dit Pordenon', size of original paintings, and seven lines of French description" as seen on British Museum's print. The lettering that is present includes production details: 'Peint par J. A. Regillo - Dessiné par Wicar - Gravé par Ketterlinus', and title: JUDITH ET HOLOFERNE (sic.). From the series: Galerie du Palais Royal. Description: Judith, seen half-length, holding a knife in her left hand and the head of Holofernes in the other, turns towards her servant, who stands on the left. Print Condition: heavy foxing to margins, though image not visibly affected; superficial creasings to margins, mounting tape attached to left side verso. Good-Very Good.
