Library stamp with Withdrawn stamp over it on the publications page (no text affected). There are no other library stamps. Four-line ownership stamp on the otherwise blank recto of the rear flyleaf (facing the last page of the index). Page edges lightly soiled. Or cl boards in price-clipped (upper and lower corners of front flap) dust-jacket which has a taped repair at the head of a faded spine. Small white sticker taped to the jacket by the spine foot. This is 'a comprehensive guide to the rich variety of decorative needlework. The background to many forms of needlework is discussed, including ecclesiastical vestments, Tudor and Stuart embroidery, blackwork and stumpwork, crewelwork bed hangings, upholstery covering, samplers, embroidered costues, silk pictures, Berlinwork and modern [1980s] uses'..
