Mild foxing to early pages and endpapers. Occasional light pencil marks to margins. Else a clean and tight copy. 212 pp. With b/w frontis and other b/w illustrations. Descriptions of antiquities of Bristol, topography, and a life of William Canynges,who was an English merchant and shipper from Bristol, one of the wealthiest private citizens of his day and an occasional royal financier. He served as Mayor of Bristol five times and as MP for Bristol thrice. Much of the text is in Latin.
