Part First, containing An Historical Outline of their Merits and Wrongs as Colonies; and Strictures upon the Calumnies of the British Writers. by Robert Walsh, Jr. Philadelphia: Published by Mitchell, Ames, and White. William Brown, Printer. 1819. Some of the topics discussed in the book are; Indian warfare, Locke's Constitution for Carolina, Religious toleration of Rhode Island, present state of the slave trade, etc, The book has been rebacked and bound in rich red leather with Gilt embossed title on spine. Endpapers renewed, title page lightly foxed. There are sections where the paper is evenly toned and others where it is clean and bright. No marks or tears. It is 512pp and is an Octavo measuring 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches. Very Good..
