Yellow pictorial cloth, wear to spine tips and corners, in a color illustrated dust jacket which is worn with a few small chips, tape repair on verso of DJ, price intact. A very clever and different approach to an alphabet book, one where the prose is alliterative and there actually is a plot! In addition to the wonderful text, Parrish added detailed and beautiful Victorian style drawings on which she spent a year making! Note lovely color pictorial endpapers.. First Edition.
