About This Item

[Boston?]: Massachusetts Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, n.d., 1920. Proforma folio bifoliate document filled out presumably by Arthur Irving Fiske, born in Lexington, 1874. Here, he fills in the names of his Lexington and Watertown forebears, and details in 24 lines on the document and another 46 lines on a separate sheet of paper, the Revolutionary career of Dr. Joseph Fiske (1752-1837), a member of Captain Parker's company of Minutemen, a veteran of the Battle of Lexington, a second lieutenant in the Continental Army, and a surgeon's mate, his commission signed by none other than John Hancock.
