William Heinemann Ltd, 1957. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1957. First Edition. 268 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering. Hinges are slightly cracked with exposed netting. Clean pages with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. Front free endpaper is missing. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Visible wear marks to boards.
Synopsis
April Lady is a Regency novel by Georgette Heyer. It is in many respects a classic example of her work; light, with some drama and delicately-handled romance. Heyer provides the perspective of two main characters throughout the book.
