Clean firm brown covers with gilt lettering on the spine, light wear to edges, wear to spine-ends, sound binding, clean pages, slightly darkened at edges. Small area of damage to front cover of part 2, and to short length of rear spine-joint of part 1. Volumes contain black and white plates, photographs and illustrations.
