Pittsburgh, PA: Caregie Museum. Very Good. 1970. First Edition. Softcover. Fort Lignor is in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania and was built in 1758. By 1800, no trace remained. In 1947 it was decided that the fort should be reconstructed, and this is the resulting archaelogical investigation that began the process. There are site maps and a number of photos of artifacts recovered. Contains an appendix in the rear: "Animal remains from archaeological excavations at Fort Ligonier, by John E. Guilday". Original tan and brown publisher's soft cover binding with brown spine lettering. There is a slight bump to the bottom edge of a few pages, else this is a clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. ; Annals of the Carnegie Museum, Volume 42 Series; B&W Photos & Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 186 pages .
