About This Item
Johnstone was head of the BBC's archaeology and history unit when he wrote this book, as part of a series edited by Magnus Magnusson. In this work he examines ships from the point of view of their excavations, looking at craft from a range of ages, the people who discovered their wrecks, and what we have learned from them.
A very nice copy. Pages are bright and tidy. No marks, staining or creases, and no inscriptions. Cloth boards are tight and clean. DJ is unclipped. Minor sun fading on the spine, and a small possibly removable mark on the cover at top right, otherwise no obvious shelf wear. Now covered in professional clear cover. See all photos. 135 pp with many B&W photos, drawings and maps, bibliography and index
