Plates & facsimiles. xi, 103, [1] pp. Small 4to, orig. black wrappers (split at joint to upper wrapper), printed paper label on upper cover, uncut. [Oxford]: Printed at the Oxford University Press for the Author, 1937. First edition, one of the special issue of twelve copies, six of which were printed on green paper and six on grey paper (our copy is on grey paper). There was a regular issue printed in rather larger numbers for the Bibliographical Society. Presentation copy, inscribed by Sadleir to "N.M. Broadbent from his friend Michael Sadleir, July 1937." Laid-in is a T.L.s. from Sadleir to Broadbent, dated 8th July 1937, presenting this copy to him and describing the paper as "queer stone-coloured paper." Bookplate of Douglas C. Ewing.
