Second edition (first thus), hardback. 8vo (25cm by 16cm), xx, 465pp. 32 colour plates from paintings by E W Christmas, 64 b&w plates from photographs, folding map. Original illustrated brown cloth, gilt titling to the spine. The binding is rubbed, bumped and stained, the endpapers are lightly browned, there is a short ownership inscription, the contents are clean and tightly bound. Overall, this book is just about in good condition. Part of the 20 shilling series of A&C Black colour books. Inman 3.
