New York:G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1925. First Edition. hard cover. Good/No jacket. New York:G. P. Putnam's Sons. 1925. 1st edition. xv+290pp. Illustrated with 75 photographs and 2 folding maps. Hardcover. Ex-library with only mark a large stamp, directly over title on title page. Green boards rubbed, soiled and worn, with wear to all edges. Spine ends worn with a tear to the bottom edge. Edge points bumped. Internally, end pages lightly soiled but pages free of previous owners marks or signatures. Paper is slightly age-toned, with an occasional smudge scattered throughout. All plates present as called for. Larger of the folding maps has a small tear where attached. The binding is holding, but cracked at the dedication page (with title page starting to pull away), as well as the rear hinge. Overall, a good solid copy. *Frank Hurley was the Official Photographer of Shackleton's Endurance Expedition.
