Brown cloth, titles stamped in gold gilt on the front cover and spine, map on front and rear pastedown sheet, [6], viii [4], 304 pp., frontispiece [portrait of David King Udall], foreword, illustrated from photographs, portraits, appendices, index. The story of one of Arizona's most distinguished pioneer families, and at the same time a broad chapter in the history of Mormons, that dedicated religious group that had much to do with the pioneering of the state. Udall was called to Arizona in 1880, became bishop of St. John's Ward, 1880-1887, President of St. Johns Stake, 1887-1922, plural marriage, imprisoned in Detroit, etc. A fine, bright, square copy in a fine, bright dust jacket.
