Copy no. 1 of the Edition de Luxe limited to 10 copies, folio, pp. [10], 268; 164 plates, including 64 color armorial plates; hand-colored title page, initials and tailpieces, text printed on Japan vellum; full brown morocco with the arms of the Sayles family in gilt and painted in green and silver on upper cover and the arms of Ames on lower cover, full gilt-stamped green morocco doublures, silk moiré free endpapers; light rubbing to extremities, a touch of adhesive residue to boards, shallow tide staining to edges, not affecting text, occasional light foxing, very good and sound. History and genealogy for many Rhode Island families and their offspring, including the Sayles, Ames, Dorr, Rockwell, Coggeshall, Anthony, Chase, Buffum, Coffin, Howland, Metcalf, Putnam, Crane, Banning, Brayton, Vogt, Armington, Marble, Frisbie, Guiteras, and Culver families, among others.
