Inscribed and signed by author Sorensen on front free endpaper. Signature unconditionally guaranteed to pass any COA examination. Sorensen was an American regionalist writer. Notably, her role in Utah and Mormon literature places her within the "lost generation" of Mormon writers. She was awarded the 1957 Newbery Medal for her children's novel, Miracles on Maple Hill. 186 pp. 8 1/4" x 5 3/4". Tight, unmarked copy with minimal shelf wear.
