Good condition with modest external wear, slightly tanned yet readily legible spine, good hinges, sound text block, old transparent stain to the far top margin of the advertising pages, small incomplete pencil sketch inside rear cover, pages clean, no names or other markings. Philosophy, techniques and practical aspects of various methods of etching, from choice of tools and materials to commentary on the great etchers of the past from Durer and Leyden to Whistler and The Moderns.
