Oxford University Press, 1948. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1948. No Edition Remarks. 317 pages. Illustrated dust jacket over blue cloth boards with gilt lettering. Black and white pictorial frontispiece and illustrations throughout. Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and foxing to text block edges. Binding is firm throughout with minor thumb-marking. Heavier tanning to free endpapers. Pencil markings to front free endpaper. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Slight crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Moderate sunning to spine and edges. Minor wear marks to boards. Unclipped jacket. Dust jacket has heavy edgewear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Moderate tanning and wear marks to flaps, panels and spine.
