Gilt lettering and design on cover and spine. 451 illustrations and 12 full-color tipped in illustrations. No printiing mentioned, possible first edition. Art Nouveau is the term generally used for defining the style of art which around 1900, had as its main theme, a long sensitive, sinuous line that reminds us of seaweed or of creeping plants. Filled with examples of artists and their works of this style. An excellent reference on the subject.; 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall .
