Extensively illustrated with full page plates including 8 photogravure plates, 16 color plates, 22 reproductions from paintings, 10 wall-paper designs, 14 book illustrations, 11 decorative works and studies as well as many other in-text illustrations. Some minor rubbing to edges of covers. Previous owner's gft inscription on second front endpaper. Bottom corners are bumped. Sections include: "Art and Socialism", "The Making of the Artist", "Art for the Nursery", "Book Illustrations", "Walter Crane the Painter", "Theory and Practice", "Walter Crane the Craftsman", "The Harvest of Honours", "List of Exhibited Pictures", "List of Books illustrated or Written by Crane.
