First edition 1st printing, Near Fine book with light bump and rub at top of spine, gilt slightly rubbed, PO book plate on front paste-down; in a Very Good jacket with light wear and soiling, spine is sun faded, bumped at top of spine with closed tears. The large, fold out map of the arts is intact and flawed only by the closed tears at top of spine. Special Book-Mark for The Arts, designed by van Loon is laid-in. This is a very nice copy of the history of the arts by the prolific Dutch writer.
