This is a Near Fine Copy of this book in original blue cloth boards with silver title lettering to spine,in a Near Fine Dust-Jacket with only light modest wear to the outer edges of the dust-wrapper.Not price clipped with 12s 6d net showing to the inner flap.This copy has No previous names or inscriptions present.The book has a firm binding with No loose leaves.There is some offsetting or age toning to the front and rear endpapers.Illustrated with 16 b&w photographic plates taken by the Author and large folding map at the rear of the book.There is a little light spotting to the page edges of the book but very modest considering age and so the scarce dust-wrapper is graded Near Fine.Rare title especially in this condition and which deals with an expedition of 1,100 miles made from Assam to Southern Tibet in 1939.Mostly the terrain and territory were unexplored.Primarily a botanical search for new plant discoveries but there was also a lot more besides including geographical,ethnological and climatic date gathered.It's hard to imagine that you will improve on the condition of this copy.The wrapper comes well protetced in a brodart cover sleeve,8vo 293pp plus appendixes First Edition 1st Impression [1941] .
