About This Item

First edition first printing of this novel. Made into the 1951 movie of the same name starring Sydney Tafler and Ronald Howard. Contains the story Wide Boy which was a play that was banned by the B.B.C. There is a very light moisture stain on the first free end page that affects the first five pages. The dustjacket has moisture damage to the bottom edge of the front panel. There is a one inch closed tear along the same bottom edge. Price clipped otherwise in very good / fair condition.
