Extensive 17th century inscriptions recording the births of the Whittaker family and an added proverb by John Edwards to final blank. Ramesey was a renowned English astrologer, author of a number of books on subjects as diverse as the human soul and intestinal worms; and Physician in Ordinary to King Charles II from 1668. Divided into four books, the Astrologia Restaurata deals with all of the knowledge of astronomy at the time, names of stars, biblical references, eclipses, comets, blazing-stars, and signs of the zodiac.
