Soft cover. printed, folding card covers, Underground map on lower cover, dimensions: unfolded the map measures 59 x 87cms, the card folder (or Container) is 20.5 x12.5 cms, one 8 cm and one 4 cm marginal tears, worn on corner folds in several places but overall the map is in sound and clean condition; the card covers are slightly creased and worn along spine but overall sound and clean. Comments: this map is undated, however The Geographers’ Map Company Ltd. (A-Z Maps) was established in London on 25 August 1936. The name "Central London line" was shortened to Central Line in 1937. This map shows the "Central Line" running from Ealing Broadway in the West to Liverpool Street Station in the East. While the extension of the Central Line Eastwards from Liverpool Street Station was planned before WW2, that stretch of the line did not open until after the war.
