Printed and Published Weekly by Benjamin Levy, Edited by George B. Young. Postal markings on integral address leaf, folded, in very good, clean and legible condition.

A business letter, describing commodity prices and business conditions in New Orleans, written on a printed letter-sheet with a comprehensive list of wholesale prices for commodities in New Orleans.

"We have to advise that per ship Huntsville we are shipping to yr address of H P Leverick about 2000 pigs lead, regarding the disposal of which we will further address you. There is nothing of any interest to advise of.

By the Louisville to sail this afternoon we send you the Morning Paper "Bulletin" which contains a very accurate statement of the cotton crop – from which you will be enabled to form a pretty good idea – the article has been quite quiet for the last week.

Mackerel are scarce … The Scotch herring are all gone – they took the fancy. Sugars have declined …"
