About This Item
Dated by the Comtesse de Brady, Paris, 31 March 1830. In French, identified beneath by the Comtesse de Brady, and annotated By Dr Spurzheim who might have conveyed this note. Stephanie Félicité, Comtesse de Genlis (1746-1830), celebrated French novelist, governess to the children of the Duc d'Orléans, amongst whom was the future king of the French, Louis-Philippe. Her works amount to about 90 vols., among them the celebrated Mémoirs of her life and times.
