Roosevelt, NJ, 1952. unbound. 1 page, 11 x 8.5 inches, Roosevelt, New Jersey, May 17, 1952, accompanied by the original stamped and postmarked and signed envelope. Written by the Social Realism artist to a friend requesting a rain-check for dinner: "Dear Mrs. Tishman, My wife and I would have loved to have dinner with you - thank you so much for asking us...Sincerely, Ben Shahn." Natural folds; near fine condition.<br/> <br/>
