(1st) Slightly smaller, heavy book, black background with thin red border to front, gilt illustration of candle holders and two burning candles in white and red, one burned down, both with wisps of white smoke on front--beautiful, lettering rubbed on spine with dulled illustration, 358 roughcut pages, bookplate inside front cover for "The Booklovers Library, No. 1584" in Philadelphia--torn at both inner hinges leaving cover somewhat loose. Slight wear with tiny threading to tips, spine very slightly faded, light scratch and tiny tear down spine top edge 1". Near Good.
