New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1927. First American Edition. First American edition. 300 pp. Original blue cloth lettered in black. Very Good + with discoloration to spine, blank ex libris design to paste down, slight wave to text, bookseller's ticket to rear paste down. In rare example of the pictorial dust jacket, chipped at head and in middle of spine panel, price clipped. Much less common than the British first edition.
A collection of stories by a prolific British writer, now obscure but highly regarded in his time by fellow writers such as John Galsworthy and James Hilton.
