Lightly rubbed on spine ends, signature (1896) on front free endpaper, otherwise very good. "Matilda Wilmot.still walked, rode, danced and skated with the best--was the star of the neighbourhood, the theme of every busy tongue, the envy of every jealous heart; and one abominable fact undid it all--Lady Matilda was, O heavens! a grandmother".
