Orig. blind-stamped cloth, A.e.g. Corners and spine ends lightly rubbed, else very good or better. With the ownership signature of Thomas A. Scott, Lincoln's Assistant Secretary of War . later Scott served as president of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The first 148 pages are about the Civil War battle at Gettysburg, while the last 83 pages cover various landmarks of the eastern United States. Illustrated with engraved plates and illustrations in the text, and with a large folding plan of the Battlefield at Gettysburg.
