The spine is sunned and the lettering is dulled, but still visible. Owner's pencil signature on the front endpaper. Includes a frontispice photograph of the author; 268 pages. Inscribed by the author at the top of the front endpaper: "with heart-felt thanks for your generous help in behalf of the Belgian children's Milk Fund. J. B. de Ville". A World War I narrative behind German Lines.
