It was founded as a cattle ranch in 1658. It has been operating ever since and now offers horseback riding and hay rides. From 1990 to 1999, Deep Hollow Ranch was the site of several "Back to the Ranch" concerts to raise funds for local charities, most of them produced with the help of singer-songwriter Paul Simon.<p>This program is for the 1993 concert which was a benefit for the Nature Conservancy, specifically Montauk and Eastern Long Island, designated by the conservancy as one of the first twelve Last Great Places in the Western Hemisphere. Much of the content consists of supportive ads. There are photographs from the 1991 and 1992 concerts, pieces on the charities being benefited, an interview with Willie Nelson by Dick Cavett and illustrated articles about the 1993 participants. Among these, in addition to Willie Nelson, were G. E. Smith, Johnny Cash and the Highwaymen and Waylon Jennings.
