About This Item
New York: Mysterious Press, 1998. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. The 18th novel in Stark's noir crime series featuring Parker, a stone-cold killer and master thief and holdup man. The series came to an end in the 1970s after 16 books until Stark, aka Donald E. Westlake, revived it after a 23-year hiatus with an additional eight novels as tough as the earlier ones, with Parker as cool, smart and deadly as ever. In this one, Parker plans to rip off a gambling boat, a floating casino on the Hudson River, but some of his partners in the enterprise want more than their share and crossing Parker almost always gets you dead. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket shows only light surface and edgewear, no tears, no creasing or chipping. Not price-clipped or remaindered. A collectable copy.
