Toronto: Longmans Canada Limited. Very Good- in Very Good- dust jacket. 1962. First Edition. Hardcover. 198 p. 24 cm. Signed by Author Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards. Rub wear along 2" of lower board bottom edge and at corners. Text block edges have some light stains. Inside pages are clean and unmarked, with light toning. Dust jacket has some edge wear, including chips and tiny tears. Small stain near head of the spine. An account of the 1961 season of production at the Stratford Festival in Ontario. The author was a staff writer for the Festival at the time, and explains many aspects of the background work put into this successful season, when Coriolanus, Henry VIII, and Love's Labour's Lost were produced. The star of the season was award winning actor Paul Scofield. The book includes 6 double sided black and white photographic plates. Flat signed by the author on the title page. .
